Duties include:
- Head teachers appraisal
- Monitoring the appraisal and targets for staff
- Ensure that there are clear links to the school improvement plan, whole school priorities and the teaching standards
- Ensure a range of evidence is being sought to make an assessment regarding staff performance
- Ensure that professional development is being adequately provided for
